Love
Love.
Love like a swirling tornado, tossing my limp body,
Love like a raging storm; I cower in fear.
Sometimes it beats the ribs of my chest with animal desire, animal anger,
Sometimes it melts my cold heart with sympathy and woe.
But beneath the rain, within my warm embrace,
My love shelters you, and you are eternally safe.
