A Poem on Despair

I have never felt the divine aura.
I have never dreamed the dream of light,
That seems to spiral everlasting.

I have been embalmed in fear,
A melancholy crawl into panic's freakshow,
Here empty cowardice, there muddy despair,
Our star attraction – death terror.

Is it any wonder that morals melt,
Intentions flee, heartfelt pity passes?
The entirety of thought a tumbling rapid,
Meaning flailing for footing.

Nothing lives, nothing breathes
But the sighs of passing hopes.

Israeli rap

A rap I wrote a while ago about Israel and Palestine:

Let’s go back in time, to 1948,
Zionists in Palestine, with the will to dominate,
It never came into their minds, to create their racist state,
In the wealthier climes, of the United fucking States,
But they had an agenda, that they could not surrender,
You know what, I think Balfour went on a fucking bender,
Took a map of the Middle East, said fuck Arabian peace,
There’s a desert full of oil and by some means we need a reason
To be a rampaging demon in the heard of their lands,
Some cover other than a raving fetish for sand,
To build bases from Palestine to Afghanistan,
These fuckers, they’re money-hungry scum to a man.

Do you cry at my rhymes, I lay the facts down straight,
Does it blow your mind, the way I replicate your hate?
With the passage of time, you’ll come to learn from your mistakes,
And seek to terminate the racist rape Israeli state.

I saw the BBC news web site this morning,
The sight of biased text evoked a frightful mourning,
For all the death and torture that they weren’t recording,
This slaughter, is aided by their biased reporting.
‘Israel outlines new peace deal’ it said,
‘Hamas warns of intifada’ on the other spread,
No mention here at all of the comparative dead,
Four palestinians, for every Israeli dead.
Look at the context and it explodes into your head,
A vision of decisions, a progression of oppression,
Bulldozers flattening every section of Palestinian possession,
Their nation's under military occupation,
But any resistance, is shown as terrorist organisation,
Nothing'll change, until we fight the corporations,
Behind the framing of an entire population.

Do you cry at my rhymes, I lay the facts down straight,
Does it blow your mind, the way I replicate your hate?
With the passage of time, you’ll come to learn from your mistakes,
And seek to terminate the racist rape Israeli state.

Roy Zimmerman...

The Test

I am flawed; my head is not the best -
It's filled with nervous mess and fails the test,
Shame and distress, sucking at my breast,
I have no zest,
To pass this test.

Chances turn and weave, I feel their beat.
I can not move; I fear their heat.
The fire of failure warms my feet,
I can not meet,
This burning beat,
I have no zest,
To pass this test.

The power of man is something that I fear,
The dread of destruction drowns, I feel it here,
I must assert my manly spear,
I must not fear,
That much is clear,
I have to meet,
This burning beat,
I will have zest,
To pass this test.
I will be the best.
I will pass this test.

City of fear

Rumbling, rumbling, over a city of fear.
The buildings mighty, the towers tall,
But the visage makes me shed a tear.
The city, once booming, once happy, once rich,
Is now a pit of despair, a sour pall.
The denizens hang their heads,
Some run, some shout, some scream in their beds,
And some weep, motionless.
The sun is shining, the horizon is clear,
The water is clean, and no armies are near,
But in the distance lies a peak,
Billowing with smoke.

They could all get out quick, quick!
But they love their marble gates;
Their shiny streets are all their fate.
They shall not get out quick, quick!
They shall not light the builders' eyes with greedy fire,
They shall stay, resolved, grim and dire,
This is their home.

Love

Love.
Love like a swirling tornado, tossing my limp body,
Love like a raging storm; I cower in fear.
Sometimes it beats the ribs of my chest with animal desire, animal anger,
Sometimes it melts my cold heart with sympathy and woe.
But beneath the rain, within my warm embrace,
My love shelters you, and you are eternally safe.
